The Order of the Garter Service is an important day in the royal calendar when the Garter Knights gather at Windsor Castle to celebrate the ancient order.
The military, and The Queen's historic bodyguards, play an important part in the proceedings and these photographs, by David Whitecross capture some of what those who apply for tickets and are lucky enough to be invited will see.
