The decision to cancel, due to rain, can be made as late as 10:45 on the day.
The Captain of the New Guard makes the decision to cancel at the last minute, meaning we cannot update our website in time to help people en-route or already at the Palace.

Dates and Times can change, sometimes at short notice,when the Guards are required for operational or other ceremonial duties, or as a result of road closures.

We anticipate Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace will take place on Sunday's, Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's between August and May with daily Guard Mounts in June and July.
However, we must stress that these provisional dates have not been confirmed and can change.
