The State Opening of Parliament, Trooping the Colour (Queen’s Birthday Parade) and Beating Retreat are some of the annual highlights.

Garter Day Procession Tickets
A limited number of tickets are available for members of the public to watch the procession to St. George's Chapel from inside the precincts of Windsor Castle.

Applicants can request up to four tickets each between 1st January and 1st March.

13th March

Commonwealth Day - Commemoration at the Memorial Gates, Constitution Hill.

Starts 10:15 - Public invited to watch the ceremony 


17th March

St Patrick’s Day - Irish Guards anniversary

St Georges Day - Coldstream Guards anniversary  
21st April

Her Majesty The Queen's Birthday
41 Gun Salute by the KTRHA in Hyde Park at noon and by the HAC (62 guns) at Gun Wharf, Tower of London at 13:00.

18th May
Scots Guards Presentation of New Colours.
The Old Colours of the 1st Battalion and F Company will be marched off parade.
HM The Queen and The Colonel, HRH The Duke of Kent, will arrive and be received with a Royal Salute. Following inspection of the parade New Colours will be presented to the 1st Battalion and F Company Scots Guards
Not open to the public but you will be able to see the Scots Gaurds march from Wellington Barracks to Buckingham Palace.

41 Gun Salute by the Kings Troop RHA in Green Park at 12:52
62 Gun Salute by the Honourable Artillery Company at Gun Wharf, Tower of London at 13:00 hours.

19th June

The Garter Ceremony at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle

State Opening of Parliament. This is a dressed down version, without the carriage procession. More details

Armed Forces Day 2017 - A chance to show your support and salute our armed forces for all they do.

The National Event will be held in Liverpool and local events will be taking place across the country.


4th to 26th
August 2017

Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
Performances on Monday to Friday at 21:00 and on Saturday at 19:30 and 22:.30pm. There is no performance on Sunday.
